About the Author

What I do: I cross borders and fill in immigration forms. I sometimes scribble cryptic notes on random objects, and one day they magically turn into articles.

I do not write much about myself because, let’s be honest, you’ve heard that song before: I’m a traveller from a very mediocre background with ambitions the size of Milky Way and brain the size of a planet. They still make me pick the paper off the floor.

I believe there are people way more interesting than my wonderful self out there, who have no means to share their food on instagram and no time to express their existential shenanigans on Facebook. I am here to tell their stories.

Who I am: Illegitimate daughter of Allan Quatermain and Wilhelmina Murray. My name is a hidden anagram of the ultimate answer to the Universe… In Philippines, they called me ‘Onion’, in Ethiopia, mostly ‘Money-money’. I used to answer to ‘You!’, ‘Hey you!’ and ‘Ma’am!’ but greatly prefer to be addressed as ‘Your Sheepness’.

I am the countess of the cheapsters, princess of linguistic embarrassments, fashion model of Asian slum markets.

I sort of imagine myself as a character similar to Starbuck or Gandalf, but of course, I am more like 9th Doctor Who or Fran Katzenjammer.

Many people ask me what is my favourite place in the world. I thought a lot about it and now can say that I really enjoy being at my hometown airport’s departure lounge.

I despise clickbate titles, cheesy listicles and travel bloggers who post way too many selfies.

What else do you want to know? This is probably all you want to know.

Best bla-bla-bla delivered to you from all around the world! If you feel like buying me a coffee or a pet Dalek, please proceed.

What a humble thought. 🙂 There should be more selfless people like you out there. What you are doing sounds fantastic. I wish you all the best!
